Music Festival
For this project, I created a poster for a music festival. I needed to generate a name and a logo for this festival. I decided to go more the roman route since I had visited Rome in the summer. While in Rome, the Colosseum influenced me and how the Romans would physically fight wild animals like lions and tigers. I decided to incorporate this into my poster. For the genre of music, I choose EDM. Since EDM is a newer genre and Rome is so historic. I decided the clash would be different but intriguing.
When creating the roman in my image, I took a simple photo of a roman sculpture of Zeus with his fist in the air and Photoshopped the picture into Zeus holding a guitar. Then I transformed the image into a black-and-white image. From there, I added a pop of color in the black and created a pop art style. Then I decided to include some preditors. For the lion and the tiger, I did the same process but made them different colors. I decided there was something missing from my posters, so I added some lightning behind Zeus since he is the god of thunder.
For my next set of posters, I wanted the posters to look the same but with a subtle difference. I decided to split up Zeus, the lion, and the tiger. I was able to separate them, but still make them look as though they are still connected. The three posters actually do connect perfectly together.
